Excited to become a digital storyteller melding text, images, and videos? If yes, then journalism and mass communication is for you.Our skill-based, industry-relevant, and research-led program is geared to produce the next generation of media professionals. Learn in a simulated environment to produce newspapers, create radio broadcasts, prepare TV news bulletins, run public relations campaigns, make video films, set up blogs, and work on social media platforms. Be ready to challenge and be challenged in new ways of thinking and expression.

Teaching: Learn from faculty which has rich industry experience, and is supported by the best minds in Media.

Curriculum: Study from a curriculum that is the first-of-its-kind in India, and has been designed in consultation with top Times Group Editors.

Project Work: Acquire skills through practical work spread over six semesters. Do specialisation under faculty guidance.

Studio Facilities: Spend 60% of your time in state-of-the-art TV and radio studios developed in collaboration with Times Now and Radio Mirchi.

Media Software: : Learn to use Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Audition, Illustrator, Celt and After Effects. Gain from web training that uses the same CMS as the Times Group.

Media Trends: Participate in discussions on latest developments in media with faculty members and top editors, directors, and managers of The Times of India.

Field Trips: Join field trips every semester to gather information and convert the data into news reports and bulletins.

Internship Opportunity: Intern with a media organisation for six to eight weeks. The internship is organised by the Times School of Media.

Placement Prospects: Take advantage of Bennett University’s career services to explore employment opportunities.

At the end of the program, you will be ready to work in newspapers, television, radio, digital content management, social media, advertising, public relations, event management, communication, film studies, and digital photography.

BA Journalism & Mass Communication ( English)

 

Eligibility

  • Class 12 or equivalent examination (from any recognized board) with minimum 40% aggregate marks in five specified subjects (details in Annexure 1 of Admission Procedure Document)
  • Class 12 must be passed in 2018/ 2019
  • Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st October,1999 (Date of Birth as recorded in the High School/ Secondary Education Board/ University Certificate only will be taken as authentic) are only eligible to apply for admission

Selection

  • Admission is based on the performance of a candidate in an entrance test to check proficiency in English language. The format, and schedule will be announced well in advance.
