Examination Regulatory Authority (ERA) has on Wednesday invited online applications from candidates of Assistant Teachers Recruitment Exam-2018 for getting their answer scripts evaluated. The aspirants can apply from official website http://at18reevaluation.upsdc.gov.in from October 11 till 20 at 6 pm.

The controversial exam was held to recruit 68,500 teachers in government primary schools but only 41,556 managed to clear the exams due to high cut off marks.

ERA, secretary, Anil Bhushan Chaturvedi said, "Following the state government's directive, the aspirants will have provide the registration number, roll number, and mobile number in the online application. This is the last opportunity for the candidates to apply for re-evaluation and no correspondence will be entertained after releasing of amendment result."

He said the applicants have to apply by themselves and sign the affidavit provided in the online form.

The discrepancies came to light after a candidate, Sonika Singh, filed a petition in Allahabad high court alleging that her answer sheet had been changed. During the hearing, advocate general had assured the court that the government would take action against the officials responsible for the lapse.

Till date, the ERA was only providing the scanned copy of their answer sheets following allegations of massive irregularities.

It may be recalled here that the recruitment process was marred by irregularities resulting in protests by aspirants across the state. Following it, the state government had suspended the then secretary, Sutta Singh and set up an enquiry committee.

The probe committee is being headed by principal secretary, sugar industry and sugarcane development, Sanjay R Bhoosreddy while director of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Vedpati Mishra and director of Basic Education department, Sarvendra Vikram Singh will be the two members.
