Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) on Monday announced the dates for matriculation and intermediate examinations to be held next year in February. The matric exams (class X) will be held from February 17 to 24, intermediate exams (class XII) will be held from February 3 to 13.
Both classes X and XII exams will be held in two sittings- 9:30am to 12:45pm and 1:45pm to 5pm. The first 15 minutes time will be provided to examinees to read the question paper and the duration of exam will be 3 hours.
The board has decided to conduct the practical examinations for intermediate as well as matric, from January 10 to 21 and January 17 to 24 respectively.
Making announcement of the examination date, BSEB chairperson Anand Kishor said in an issued statement: “The exam schedule has been uploaded on Board’s official website and the affiliated schools were also informed the same. All the arrangements have been made to conduct fair and cheating-free examinations. It is also ensured that all necessary infrastructure, including boundary wall, gates, rooms and furniture are available in the school for ensuring smooth examinations.”

The BSEB chairman also claimed that model question papers for 20 subjects for matric and inter examinations was uploaded on BSEB’s website-http://biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in/- earlier in this month.
Kishor said that few changes have been made by the board in examination pattern of classes X and XII including more objective-type questions in all papers.
On February 3, class XII examinees will appear for physics paper in first shift while Histor and RB Hindi in second shift whereas on February 4, chemistry paper will be in first shift and political science and English in second shift. Examinees will appear for biology in first seating and economics and foundation course in second on February 5. NRB, computer science and yoga and physical education papers will be held on February 6 while mathematic and matribhasha (MB) on February 7.

Agriculture, music, entrepreneurship and geography papers will be held on February 8 whereas language and psychology on February 10. NRB and philosophy exams will be held on February 11 and language, sociology and business studies exams on February 12. On last day on February 13, the examinees will appear for home science, economics, accountancy and MB.
The matric exam will begin with science paper in two shifts from February 17 which will be followed by mathematics (February 18), social science (February 19), English (February 20), MB (February 21), language paper (February 22) and additional paper (February 24).
