FTII student bags Inlaks scholarship

PUBLISH DATE 6th December 2017

Bhupendra Chauhan, a third semester student of Film and Television Institute of India, has bagged the Inlaks India Foundation scholarship of Rs1lakh.

The 2016 batch student of the acting course received the scholarship cheque at the institute on Tuesday from the director of FTII Bhupendra Kainthola.

“Bhupendra Chauhan is an example of how real and great talent continues to come from India’s small towns and that determination and hard work is all that count in India’s finest film school FTII,” said Kainthola.

“He comes from a small place Khargone in Madhya Pradesh. Most Indians may have never heard of Khargone. Coming from a humble origin, he studied engineering before his love for acting got better of him. He had no formal training before joining FTII. The money he bagged will help him spend more on honing his skills,” said Kainthola.
