FTII to conduct kids' workshop

The Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) started a 15-day acting workshop exclusively for children. An FTII release said 21 children, between ages 7 and 15, have signed up for the course, which will be conducted by Devendranath Sankaranarayanan, a professional acting coach in theatre.

Book fair from October 11 to 15

The Pune Book Fair will be held between October 11 and 15 at Pudumjee Hall, Mahratta Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Tilak Road, Swargate. The fair will be inaugurated by Diwakar Raote, minister of transport. Those looking to buy books can visit the venue between 11am and 8pm every day.

Airtel launches VoLTE in Maha, Goa

Bharti Airtel on Friday said it has launched its Voice over LTE (VoLTE) services in the Maharashtra and Goa circle. VoLTE works on 4G and promises voice calls in high-definition quality. Reliance Jio had launched all its services across the country over VoLTE technology in September 2016.

MIT felicitates textile exponent

The Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT) World Peace University on Friday felicitated textile expert Rajeev Sethi, a Padma Bhushan awardee and chairperson of the Asian Heritage Foundation. He was given the Samarpit Jeevan Gaurav Puraskar.
