?Admissions of students who were allotted various junior colleges in the fourth round of the common admission process (CAP) will start from Monday. About 18,000 students were allotted various colleges in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad, of whom around 7,000 got their first preference of college.

The deadline for taking admission in the fourth is 2pm on August 9.

For the eligible 22,061 applications, the fourth merit list was declared on August 5. About 4,056 students were not allotted colleges as per their preferences in the fourth round.

While admissions start on Monday , there is a chance that some colleges will be shut for Raksha Bandhan.

If students don't confirm their admission despite their first choice of college being allotted, they will be considered out of CAP. “Colleges where 75% of admissions are over will start their academic term from August 9. Students who get admissions after August 9 will be given special training on Saturdays and Sundays to help them catch up,“ said deputy director of education Dinkar Temkar.
