MH Post Circle Application Process for GDS Post to End Today 2019

India Post will close the application process for Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) recruitment in Maharashtra circle today i.e. December 3, 2019.

The candidates who are yet to fill up the application forms for Maharashtra Postal Circle GDS recruitment are advised to do the same at the earliest through the official website of India Post —

India Post is conducting this recruitment drive to fill up various vacancies to the Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) and Dak Sevak posts.

Indian Post had commenced the application process for Maharashtra Postal Circle GDS recruitment 2019 on November 1, 2019. Earlier, the last date to submit online applications for the Maharashtra Postal GDS recruitment was November 30, 2019, which was extended up to December 3, 2019.

Selection Criteria

The selection process will be based on the automatically generated merit list as per the rules based on the candidates online submitted applications.

Candidates should note that no weightage will be given for higher educational qualification. Only marks obtained in 10th standard of approved Boards aggregated to percentage to the accuracy of 4 decimals will be the criteria for finalising the selection.

Fee Payment

Applicant belonging to the category UR/OBC/EWS Male have to pay a fee of Rs.100/- (Rupees one hundred only) for each set of five options. Payment of the fee is exempted for all female candidates, all SC/ST candidates and all PwD candidates.

Educational Qualification

Candidates should possess Secondary School Examination pass certificate of 10th standard with passing marks in Mathematics and English (having been studied as compulsory or elective subjects) conducted by any recognized Board of School Education by the Government of India/State Governments/ Union Territories in India. It may be noted that the candidates who have passed Xth class examination in the first attempt will be treated as meritorious against those passed compartmentally.

Compulsory knowledge of Local Language

The candidate must have studied the local language at least up to 10th standard [as compulsory or elective subjects] as declared by the State Government or as per constitutional provisions relating to the 8th schedule of the Constitution of India.
