As notified earlier, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) on Thursday declared the Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination 2018 Tier-I result.The SSC has announced the result of SSC CHSL Result 2018 Tier - 1 today around 7pm on its official website - ssc.nic.in.
Candidates, who appeared in the exam can check their result through the official SSC website - ssc.nic.in.
The selected candidates, will now have to appear in the Descriptive Paper (Tier-II) and Skill Test/ Typing Test (Tier-III).
The candidates have been shortlisted for Tier-II Examination on the basis of their performance in Tier-I Examination. Normalized scores of the candidates have been used to determine merit and for final selection.
The Commission has also issued a separate category-wise cut-offs in Tier-I for different posts i.e. (i) DEO, (ii) DEO Grade 'A' and (iii) LDC/JSA and PA/ SA.
The Staff Selection Commission had conducted the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level exam from July 1, 2019 to July 11, 2019.

Category-wise details of candidates who have provisionally qualified for appearing in Tier-II (Descriptive Paper) and the cut-offs applied for each category are as under:

CHSL Exam 2019: Vacancies

* Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA): Pay Band -1 (Rs. 5200-20200), Grade Pay: Rs. 1900 (pre-revised).
* Postal Assistant (PA)/ Sorting Assistant (SA): Pay Band -1 (Rs. 5200-20200), Grade Pay: Rs. 2400 (pre-revised).
* Data Entry Operator (DEO): Pay Band-1 (Rs. 5200-20200), Grade Pay: Rs. 2400 (pre-revised) and
* Data Entry Operator, Grade "A?: Pay Band-1 (Rs. 5200-20200), Grade Pay: Rs. 2400 (pre-revised).
CHSL Exam 2019: Tier-II Exam on September 29, 2019 (Descriptive Paper)The performance in Tier II would be included for preparing merit.
Tier-II Paper will be a descriptive Paper of 100 Marks in 'Pen and Paper' Mode. The duration of the Descriptive Paper would be for one hour. The Paper would comprise writing of an Essay of 200-250 words and a Letter/ Application of approximately 150-200 words.
The minimum qualifying marks in Tier-II would be 33 per cent.
The paper will have to be written either in Hindi or in English. Part paper written in Hindi and Part in English will be awarded zero marks.
Candidate must write his/ her correct Roll Number and affix signature and Left-hand Thumb Impression in the relevant columns in the Question Paper-cum-Answer Book failing which zero marks will be awarded.
CHSL Exam 2019: Tier-III (Skill Test/ Typing Test)
The Skill Test/ Typing Test will be of qualifying nature. Skill Test in Tier-III for DEOs is mandatory for all the qualified candidates. Typing Test in Tier-III for posts other than DEOs is mandatory for all candidates except those who are exempted from appearing in the Typing Test.
The Test for the qualified candidates will be conducted on computers provided by the Commission or its authorized agency. The Test will be conducted in the cities where Regional Offices of the Commission are located or as decided by the Commission.
CHSL Exam 2019: Document Verification (DV)
The candidates who qualify Tier-III will be called for Document Verification to check the eligibility of candidates as per the information given by him/ her in the online Application Form.
All the candidates qualified for Document Verification are required to appear for Document Verification along with the original documents.
