All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) is conducted every year on the first Sunday of May by National Law University (NLU), New Delhi. The notification for AILET exam is released by NLU New Delhi on its website as well as leading national newspapers each year.
AILET 2019 exam date has been declared NLU Delhi.
On the basis of their score in AILET 2019, candidates can secure admission in BA LLB (Hons), LLM and PhD programmes offered at NLU, New Delhi. AILET results are the means through which aspirants are shortlisted for admission to fill 83 seats in the BA LLB (Hons) course and 40 in LLM course. In BA LLB programme, there are 73 seats available for admission on merit through AILET followed by 10 seats which are open for direct admission to Foreign Nationals on merit. Here, Foreign Nationals are exempted from giving AILET. Rest one seat is reserved for Kashmiri Migrants and two seats for residents of Jammu and Kashmir. For LLM programme admissions, there are 35+5 seats for Foreign Nationals.

ational Law University, Delhi has announced that it would be conducting AILET 2019 for Five Year BA LLB (Hons), LLM and PhD programmes on May 5, 2019 from 3 pm to 4:30 pm. Candidates would be able to fill AILET 2019 application form online on the official website of the law entrance exam. The application process for AILET 2019 is set to commence in the first week of January 2019.

AILET Cut Off 2019

Candidates need to meet AILET cutoffs to secure admission in BA LLB (Hons), LLM and PhD programmes in law offered at National Law University (NLU), Delhi. When AILET results are declared, NLU Delhi releases separate merit lists informing about the name and other details of candidates selected for admission. NLU Delhi's first merit list is released marks-wise, roll number-wise and category-wise (General, Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Person with Disabilities and Kashmiri Migrants).
AILET cutoff comprises of minimum marks that aspirants need to achieve in order to secure admission in law programmes offered at NLU Delhi. The law school releases separate cutoffs for law programmes for different category of students such as – General, OBC, SC, ST , PwD and Kashmiri Migrants.
Shiksha has compiled a list of minimum marks which students need to score in order to meet AILET cut-off for admissions.

The eligibility criteria to appear for AILET 2019 for BA LLB (Hons) course admissions is as mentioned below:
Candidates can apply for AILET if they meet the eligibility criteria as mentioned on the official website stating that: “In order to appear for AILET, candidates should have passed the 10+2 examination and scored a minimum of 50%. However, candidates appearing for 10+2 examinations in the year of the AILET can also apply provided they meet the above condition at the time of admission”.
Regarding age limit for BA LLB (Hons) course aspirants are informed by NLU Delhi's official website that on the basis of Supreme Court's order issued on March 3, 2018 wherein stay has been imposed on Bar Council of India's recommendation "relating to age restriction for taking admission in LLB Course, there shall be no age restriction for applying in All India Law Entrance Test to be conducted by National Law University, Delhi for admission to BA LLB (Hons) Programme, subject to the final decision of the Apex Court".
AILET 2019 Process
In order to secure admissions at NLU, New Delhi, aspirants need to follow the below mentioned steps:
Aspirants can apply for AILET on the official website of NLU, New Delhi. The application forms for AILET exam are mostly available for purchase from the first week in January (of the exam year). Aspirants can pay the application fee through online mode (debit card/ credit card/ net banking). Know more about AILET 2019 application process here.
STEP 2: Download AILET Admit Card
The admit card for AILET will be issued online to candidates. The AILET 2019 admit card will be issued by April. Candidates will not be allowed to take AILET if they do not possess a valid admit card for the exam. Aspirants can download the admit card for this law entrance exam from the official website of NLU, New Delhi.
This law entrance exam is of one and a half hour duration. The AILET exam is divided into five sections which are – English, General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning, Basic Mathematics and Legal Aptitude.
STEP 4: Check AILET Result
After giving the exam, aspirants then need to check their AILET 2019 result on the official website of the exam. In order to check the AILET result, candidates need to enter their registration/roll number as well as password on the official exam website. Also, candidates need to take part in counselling process for admission basis their AILET score.

The AILET exam for BA LLB (Hons) course comprises of 150 questions which aspirants need to complete in duration of 1 hour 30 minutes. AILET 2019 exam pattern is such that the test paper is divided into five sections which are English, Basic Mathematics, General Knowledge, Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning.

AILET 2019 Marking Scheme
For every correct answer marked in the exam, one mark would be awarded to canddates. There will be negative marking in AILET 2019. "The criteria for negative marking will be based on the formula 0.25X4=1 that means per wrong answer 0.25 Marks will be deducted. Therefore, four wrong answers will lead to deduction of 1 Mark", informs the official website.
