DNB-PDCET is an essential pre-requisite entrance examination for granting admission to post-diploma DNB (broad specialities) postgraduate courses. The DNB PDECT 2021 exam computer-based exam will be conducted in 23 test centres located across the country. A total of 120 multiple-choice questions are being asked from 8 different specialities for the entrance test. As per the marking scheme of DNB PDCET, four marks will be awarded for each correct attempt. There is a negative marking of 25%, therefore, one mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

Changes in DNB PDCET 2021 brochure

  • Hike in the application form fee: DNB PDCET 2021 application fee has been increased from  Rs 4500 to Rs 5900 (including taxes).
  • Changes in DNB PDCET exam centres 2021: As per the DNB PDCET brochure, "Noida" will no longer be considered as a separate exam centre. Candidates who wish to choose an exam centre in Noida must select Delhi NCR. The total number of exam centres for DNB PDCET 2021 is now 23. 
  • Reduction in the total number of questions asked in DNB PDCET:  This year, a total of 120 MCQs will be asked in each question paper from the concerned speciality.
  • Addition of a tie-breaking method: An additional tie-breaking method has been added in the DNB PDCET, according to which, candidate having lesser number of negative responses in the question paper will be placed at a better merit position.
  • Change in the DNB PDCET exam timings: The exam for DNB PDCET 2021 will be now be conducted from 02:00 PM to 04:00 PM. 
  • Exemption of Aaadhar Card as identity proof: Candidates can no longer furnish Aaadhar Card as an identity proof to the DNB PDCET 2021 exam centre. Identity proofs such as Voter ID, Passport, Driving License and PAN card can only be furnished as proof of identification. 

DNB PDCET 2021 Admit Card

The exam conducting authority has issued the DNB PDCET admit card 2021 for all the registered candidates. The admit card of DNB PDCET is a crucial document that reveals the designated test centres of the candidates. Candidates are required to carry the following documents to the examination centre in order to gain entry.

  • Print out of DNB PDCET admit card 2021 to the exam centre along with
  • A government authorized ID proof like Voter ID, Passport, Driving License and PAN card   (in original)
  • A photocopy of permanent or provisional SMC/MCI registration.

Candidates must furnish DNB PDCET 2021 admit card at the time of checking result and counselling thus it is necessary to retain it till the admission process concludes. Candidates were required to paste their latest photograph in the prescribed space in the admit card and report to the examination centre within the prescribed time.

DNB PDCET 2021 Eligibility Criteria

All candidates applying for the entrance test must fulfill the DNB PDCET eligibility criteria as laid down by the exam conducting authority. The eligibility criteria of DNB PDCET 2021 reflect the basic pre-requisite conditions which must be met in order to be considered eligible to appear for the examination. The following are the eligibility criteria which the aspirants must fulfill.

  • Candidates who have passed the final exam for a postgraduate diploma from a recognized Indian university.
  • Candidates must possess proof of having passed/ passing the postgraduate diploma final examination on or before July 31, 2021.
