Q: Who is eligible to apply for NPAT 2021?

Students who have completed Class 12 or equivalent examination from CBSE/ICSE and other boards are eligible to apply for NPAT 2021. However, the student must have passed the exam at first attempt. Aspirants exceeding the age of 25 years will not be eligible for the test.

Q: How is the merit list for NMIMS created through NPAT?

The merit list of students is prepared based on the marks obtained by candidates in NPAT 2021.

Q: NPAT 2021 exam will be conducted in how many test cities?




  • Students applying for NPAT exam must have completed Class 12 or equivalent examination (inclusive of International Baccalaureate Diploma in any stream)
  • Students can submit IB diploma only if it is awarded by a recognised board. IB certificate holders are not eligible for the test
  • Students who have passed their 10+2 or equivalent examination from Open or Distance learning (ODL) are also eligible to apply for the exam. In this case, the school should be recognized by National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS)
  • Students who have not been able to clear 10+2 either from CBSE or ICSE board or IB diploma in their first attempt are not eligible for NPAT exam
  • Students must have obtained an aggregate of 60% marks in 10+2 equivalent examination
  • Students holding IB Diploma will be eligible only if he/she has Mathematics/ Statistics at the standard level
  • Students having cleared either CBSE/ ICSE board exam need to mention the aggregate marks of all the subjects of 10th standard or equivalent examination. The marks of best of four or five subjects will not be considered
  • Students exceeding the age of 25 years are not eligible to apply for the exam
