Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test commonly known as TANCET is an entrance exam conducted every year by Anna University on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Government. The examination is for the students who wants to take admission into post graduation courses of M.E. - M. Tech - MBA - MCA - M. Arch - M. Plan Programs offered in university departments, regional centers of Anna university, arts & science colleges and self â?? financing & stand alone colleges. Some other Institutes, Universities & Self â?? Financing Colleges may also admit the students on the basis of TANCET. Candidates who are residing in Tamil Nadu are eligible for TANCET. Candidates who are not residing in Tamil Nadu can also apply, but the admission will be depending on the eligibility criteria imposed by the admitting authority.

Eligibility criteria to appear for TANCET 2022 is given below:

  • MBA/MCA applicants course should hold a graduation degree from a recognised institute or university, irrespective of the discipline

  • For other courses, candidates must hold a BTech/BE degree from a recognised institute/university or equivalent

  • Candidates completing 10+3 diploma along with AMIE OR 10+2+AMIE are also eligible as per the TANCET eligibility criteria

  • The minimum score obtained by the candidates shouldn't be lower than 50 per cent marks for open category candidates and 45 per cent for reserved category candidates in the Bachelor’s degree exam

  • Candidates in the final year of the bachelor's degree programme also eligible to apply

  • There is no lower or upper age restriction to appear for TANCET
